The fauna and flora within Pegarah Private Nature Reserve interact and are interdependent. It has rich biodiversity. A home for the large and noisy to the small, elusive or quiet. With a stable protected habitat, old growth forest types, complex tiers and understories, King Island mammal, bird, insect, reptile and amphibian species thrive. Species found include rare, endangered, high conservation significance, and uncommon on King Island (and not previously found)
